Thatch alternatives for travel creators
Thatch’s creator guides moved into Mindtrip, which has no built-in checkout. These are the platforms travel creators use instead to keep selling guides, with their fees.
Thatch is now part of Mindtrip, and Mindtrip doesn’t sell guides for you. Your guides moved over, but Mindtrip has no built-in checkout: it asks creators to collect payment on another platform, such as Beacons or their own site, and pays creators through booking commissions, tips and a $1 referral bounty. If selling guides was the point, you need somewhere new to sell them.
What to look for
- A checkout built in, so a follower can pay without leaving their phone.
- A map, not a file: Thatch guides came with an interactive map, and buyers expect one.
- How much you keep: from 50% to all of each sale before card fees. Thatch’s seller page said sellers kept 90%.
- How long a guide takes to rebuild on the new platform, since your guides stay on Mindtrip.

Rexby: best if you want buyers brought to you
The closest to Thatch in spirit: interactive guides, consultations and a marketplace that sends you buyers, at a lower share on those sales.
Mapzl: best for keeping the most of each sale
Hand-built map guides on your own sales page, with 90% to 99% of each sale yours depending on the plan.
Stan Store: best if you already sell other products
One storefront for everything you sell. Your guide becomes a file or a link, not a map.
Reelsinary: best if you don’t want to rebuild by hand
We make it. It builds the guide from the reels you’ve already posted and takes no commission. It is newer and smaller than the others.
Common questions
What happened to Thatch?
Mindtrip acquired Thatch in March 2025, and thatch.co now redirects to mindtrip.ai. Former Thatch creators can claim a Mindtrip account with the same email and keep access to their guides, but Mindtrip has no built-in checkout, so guides are sold through an outside payment platform.
What is the closest alternative to Thatch for selling travel guides?
For interactive guides with a checkout, Rexby and Mapzl are the closest. Rexby also brings its own buyers; Mapzl lets you keep 90% or more. If you would rather not rebuild your guides place by place, Reelsinary builds them from your reels and takes no commission.
